Our 8 bedrooms are both comfortable and elegant, and are all well-equipped with en-suite bathrooms and all the luxuries of a home away from home.

Nestled in the peaceful village of Gillamoor, amongst the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors, The Royal Oak Inn has been part of the village community since the mid-seventeenth century.

 

This traditional Grade II listed building is the ideal place to relax after a long walk through the countryside, with open log fires and oak beamed ceilings, you can enjoy the comfortable and friendly atmosphere; along with the best cask ales and excellent cuisine, which is all cooked fresh to order.

At the Royal Oak Inn we offer an exquisite, home-cooked, a la carte menu, with options for vegetarians, as well as a children’s menu and daily specials. All our meals are prepared to order on the premises from fresh, local ingredients.

 

Meals are served at lunchtimes and evenings, 7 days a week, and
on Sunday’s a traditional Sunday Lunch is served. Food serving times are 12-2pm and 6.30-9pm high season and 8.30pm finish in low season

Christmas Menu

The Royal Oak Inn currently has 8 letting bedrooms, 6 with double beds, one Superior and one with twin beds. All 8 bedrooms are both comfortable and elegant, and are all well-equipped with
en-suite bathrooms with either bath or shower, W.C. and basin.

 

The Royal Oak has drying facilities, is fully insulated and fitted with a new biomass heating system ensuring it is always cosy and warm and without the draughts so often associated with traditional country pubs. The rooms have all the luxuries of a home away from home, including a Free-view Flat Screen TV, wireless broadband connection, tea and coffee making facilities, as well as a Radio alarm clock and hairdryer.

 

Included in the price of the accommodation is a Full English Breakfast or a lighter alternative. Packed lunches are also available on request.

 

There is a resident’s car park to the rear of the Inn and on street parking is also available to the front of the pub.
